Tacktile Tile Adhesive Pro Ultra 12 is a premium, flexible, polymer-modified cement-based tile adhesive developed for superior bond strength, enhanced workability, and excellent coverage. It is ideal for porcelain, vitrified, and other non-porous tiles on cement-based and pre-primed surfaces. Designed for demanding applications, Pro Ultra 12 is suitable for interior and exterior walls and floors, including wet and underwater environments such as showers and swimming pools.

Mixing Instructions

 

View our step-by-step guide on how to properly mix Tacktile products for the perfect consistency and optimal results.

Step 1

Add 5 Litres of clean ambient / cold water to clean suitable mixing container.

Step 2

Gradually add 20kg of TACKTILE Tile Adhesive while stirring to prevent lumping.

Step 3

Use an electric drill with a paddle to mix until smooth & lump-free.

Step 4

Apply only to clean, dry & sound surfaces with a tiling trowel.

Step 5

Wait 24 hours before grouting. (Minimum 6 hours)

Installation Tips

Make sure the tiles are dust free & dry. DO NOT SOAK TILES before tiling.
The substrate must be sound, clean, dry & free from of all surface contaminants such as dust, waxes, polishes bitumen etc.
Apply adhesive to the substrate using a notched trowel, ensuring firm pressure so the adhesive bonds properly.
Press tiles firmly into the adhesive bed using a twisting action.
For heavy or large-format tiles, use a rubber mallet to ensure full contact.
Do not butt joint tiles.
Maintain a minimum grout joint width: 2mm on walls and 3mm on floors.
Remove excess adhesive from joints before it sets.
Include perimeter & intermediate expansion joints to accommodate structural & thermal movement.

Grouting

Tacktile recommends grouting the day after the tiles have been installed to ensure proper curing of the adhesive. Alternatively, wait a minimum of 6 hrs before grouting.
Ensure the grout joints are clean & free of debris like dust / excess adhesive.
Moisten slightly before grouting.
Grout with waterproof grout.
For wet / flexible / high-traffic zones, replace water with Tacktile bonding liquid.

Do not alter product composition.
Wear gloves and protective gear.
Rinse skin with water if irritation occurs.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Do not ingest or pour into drains.
